
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
HIP HOP
Hip Hop students learn a variety of current and commercial dance styles. Our Hip Hop classes combine the strength and power of jazz with the attitude and fun of Hip Hop. Classes can benefit fitness, flexibility and co-ordination. Our students learn with a variety of industry professional teachers to ensure they are exposed to a broad range of commercial dance styles.
ACRO
Acro combines dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. A great flexibility, technique and fitness class where unique choreography seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics. Acro classes are determined by ability level rather than age.
Our fully qualified teachers have experience in both training and coaching in Kindy Gym, Recreational Gym, Acrobatics and Dance Acro.
MUSICAL THEATRE
Our Musical Theatre classes take their inspiration from Broadway and the West End. Classes primarily incorporate broadway jazz with singing and acting techniques taught each week. Students will learn performance skills in a fun environment, that will bring out their love of performing. Our teachers for these classes have many years of performing experience, and a passion for bringing out the star in each child.
TAP
Tap students will learn a variety of tap steps and patterns to build up to dance sequences as the year the progresses. Tap classes appeal to dancers of all backgrounds, whether that be ballet, jazz or hip hop. The catchy music and rhythmic patterns of tap are taught by experienced teachers with backgrounds in broadway and rhythmic styles. Students will benefit from the co-ordination required to make the rhythmic patterns in the tap classes.
BOYS CLASSES
Boys attend all our classes at Ecole! We have plenty of classes with boys registered, particularly our Jazz / Hip Hop classes. A great opportunity to develop self-confidence and co-ordination whilst providing age appropriate technical skills.
PILATES
Pilates is a body conditioning routine that builds flexibility, endurance and coordination, as well as strengthening and lengthening of the muscles and focusing on core strength.
We incorporate the use of Fitness Balls and Therabands in some of these classes and also have a variety of Pilates props including Wobble Boards and Magic Circles.
