Cinzia Marrocco
Lyrical & Contemporary
Cinzia Marrocco started dancing at Lamont Dance Theatre at just 3 years old. Over the past 17 years she has learnt styles including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, hip hop and musical theatre. She has further completed 6 years of training at Brigidine College, in their extensive Dance program, and was further awarded dance captain in her final year. She completed HSC dance receiving 2 nominations into call back for both; performance and major performance. In 2020, Cinzia completed a Bachelor Of Dance, at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance. Currently, Cinzia is studying a masters of teaching, majoring in Dance.
In 2019, she was invited to join the Dance Makers Collective youth company, where she trained with industry professionals. During this time, she performed in the Dance Makers Collective’s recent work; ‘The Rivoli’, performed as part of the Sydney Arts Festival. Additionally, she was a part of the recent Kaldor Art project; Correspondence by Nadia Oldum, a site-specific work performed at the Art Gallery of NSW. In late 2020, Cinzia worked with Sydney Dance Company former member; Richard Cilli to create a contemporary work performed in Sydney Arts Festival 2021.
Cinzia’s passion for dance and choreography have been recognised by an array of companies. Her most recent works; “At Bay” and “Paranoia” have been featured on both Dance Life Unite and the Amherst Ballet Project.
