Akane has been dancing from a young age and has been at Ecole since she was six. She grew up predominantly training in Classical Ballet and has completed her Advanced 1 RAD exams under Jane Allyn and Crystal Wong.

 

Her love of dance and performance branched out, completing her Bachelor's of Music (Performance) majoring in Music Theatre at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts. Further expanding her knowledge and appreciation for other styles like Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial, Heels, Hip hop and Tap she has completed the Training Program and the Alumni Program at DUTI studios (2021), training with International Dance Academy (2024) and the Show Business (2025).

 

Akane has also completed her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management in 2022 and most recently has been Kinderballet certified in 2025.  Akane is excited to share her love and passion of dance and performance to students. She endeavours to create a safe environment where students and herself are engaged, growing, curious and of course enjoying dance.
