30 March 2020

Effective 23 March 2020, all non-essential services in NSW will be closed from midday, per Government direction. This includes Ecole.

At this stage, we are temporarily closing the classes at Ecole until our beautiful world gets back on it's feet. We will be communicating with you when we are allowed to offer classes again at the studio. We hope it is in the very near future.

Meanwhile, our last lessons for Term 1 can be accessed via our Ecole YouTube channel. If you have misplaced the emailed link, please contact us via email. We have a number of videos for your child to practice while our doors are closed. Please ensure you click subscribe on the page, to ensure you don't miss the new lessons.

Children are welcome to view and participate in any style of dance in the videos, ensuring it is suitable for their level/age group. Check the "description" underneath the video for any additional information. Class plans to go with the classes your child is enrolled in, will be sent to you as PDF documents via email.

Program 1 will be available the week commencing Monday 30 March

Program 2 will be available the week commencing Monday 6 April

Program 3 will be available the week commencing Monday 13 April

Please send us videos or photos of the Ecole students learning at home. You can send these via WhatsApp to 0433 832 653.

At the commencement of the online programs, students are advised that:

  • by participating, they are doing so at their own risk;

  • they must ensure they have a suitable, non-slip floor space in which to participate, and any potential obstructions in the vicinity are removed before they participate;

  • the activities should be avoided if they have, or suspect they may have any current health concerns, injuries, aches and pains;

  • physical contact with other participants is excluded and where appropriate adhere to social distancing guidelines;

  • dress appropriately, your ballet uniform and hair in a bun will make you feel like you are at class. Your jazz shoes and sneakers will support your feet properly when you do your jazz and hip hop lessons;

  • before commencing these programs, a warm up/stretch is to be done eg. hula hoop or skipping rope for 1-2 minutes to your favourite song, or 10 jumps or star jumps, repeating three times.

Thank you to all the Ecole teachers for assisting me making these lesson videos. You can see some of the behind the scenes bloopers via our Instagram page.

I hope you will support Ecole and our wonderful dancing community and come back to us when our doors are open again.

Thank you for the kind words of support and the care that you have shown us over the last few weeks.

Take care of yourself and each other. We miss you all at Ecole and can't wait to see you.

Love Miss Bonnie and the Ecole Teachers
