Rosie Schwartz

Classical Ballet & Pilates

Rosie is an RAD registered ballet teacher and an associate of the Royal Academy of Dance with over 10 years teaching experience. Rosie trained in classical ballet from the age of 4 into adulthood, completing all examinations through the Royal Academy of Dance up to Advanced 2 which she completed with Distinction under the instruction of Jane Allyn.

Rosie began her ballet teaching career in 2006, completing a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies through the RAD in 2010.

Moving into the fitness industry was a natural progression from vocational dance and she has studied a certificate 3 in Fitness, a certificate 4 in Personal Training, a Diploma of Athlete Support Services, certificate 4 in mat Pilates and is a Level 2 strength and conditioning coach with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association. Rosie is currently studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science through ACU. Rosie’s experience in the fitness industry includes 10 years working as Personal Trainer, at Resolution Fitness and privately, instructing mat Pilates and circuit classes in Pilates studios and is on the strength and conditioning staff at Barker College.

Rosie believes that the fitness of a dancer should be as carefully trained as the technical and artistic components, to ensure safety and enhance performance. Rosie provides supplementary training services for dancers, including strength and conditioning and dance Pilates through her business Dance Athlete.
