Classical Ballet

Michelle is an accredited teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and has taught Classical Ballet for the past 14 years and ran her own dance school for 8 years - which she has now passed on to focus on her love of ballet teaching and her dance costume business. She is really looking forward to continuing sharing her passion of Classical Ballet through teaching at Ecole. Michelle’s primary focus is always to nurture, encourage and inspire students to reach their full potential technically & artistically - as they increase their confidence and believe in their abilities and she finds this so rewarding!

Michelle has an eye for choreography and loves creating both traditional and modern ballet pieces as well as has a technical eye for preparing students for RAD Examinations.

Michelle has completed her Advanced 2 Ballet exam which is the highest level within the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Syllabus. She attended Summer School at the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne and has won multiple eisteddfods within NSW for Classical Ballet and Classical Improvisation, being highlighted for her artistic expression and stage presence.

Michelle was a Finalist in the renowned NSW Isobel Anderson Awards, with over 400 competitors participating in this ballet competition. She has choreographed a plethora of dance concert and eisteddfod items over the years for large scale productions at dance studios and primary schools - and was the PR & Marketing Coordinator for 'The Rock Eisteddfod’ Challenge due to her expertise within the Performing Arts, production and marketing skills. Michelle has completed a degree in a Bachelor of Media majoring in Journalism and Production and loves to use these creative skills combined with her Classical Ballet knowledge within the dance studio to ensure every lesson is engaging and innovative.

Michelle thrives on witnessing a genuine enjoyment for dance being instilled within each student at the studio - and she can’t wait to build this up even further within the dancers at Ecole.
